Materials and tools
Step by step
Tips for a neat result
- A sharper or finer needle helps when the line passes through holes already filled with crosses.
- On long straight lines, a stitch every one or two squares is enough.
Common mistakes and fixes
The outline looks wobbly
Stitches are different lengths or do not share holes. Go hole to hole.
Dark outline thread shows through light fabric
A thread was carried across the back over unstitched fabric. Finish and restart instead.
Check your result
- Lines match the chart and stitches meet end to end with no gaps.
