Step by step
Tips for a neat result
- Stitch the vine first, then the largest flowers, then fill in. It is easier to balance.
- An odd number of large flowers usually looks more natural than a symmetrical layout.
Common mistakes and fixes
The wreath looks sparse
Add more leaves and knots rather than more large flowers.
Fabric slackens in the hoop over time
Bind the inner ring with twill tape before the final mounting.
Check your result
- Fabric is taut and the design is centred.
- The back is gathered flat inside the hoop.
Finishing and care
- Dust with a soft brush. Keep out of direct sun.
- To wash, remove from the hoop, hand-wash cool, dry flat and remount.
